I have created a series of short clips to inform you about changes we have made in line with government guidelines for the proposed re-opening of schools. We are awaiting a government announcement to instruct us to open school from the 1st June. If you choose to bring your child or children to school, all you need to do is turn up on the day. Your child should bring their own drink, reading book, packed lunch (if they do not want a school dinner), rain coat and shoes that they can get on and off by themselves. Our main focus throughout the day will be your child's happiness and to support them in making the transition from home to school. Of course education is very important; however your child's well-being is paramount!
All of the details about the staggered start dates and times were in a letter emailed out to parents last week and can be found in this section of the website under letters. All of our one way systems will be sign posted to support everyone in social distancing. When arriving at school by car, we ask that all parents park beyond the pavements outside of school to support our new one way system, support social distancing and create a safe environment for all to cross the road. Thank you for your continued support and understanding throughout these exceptional circumstances.
Proposed reopening for Super Starfish- Nursery
The current plan is: Mrs Gavuzzi and Mrs Woodroffe will each be leading a team. Mrs Gavuzzi will be based in the Treehouse, which is the classroom next to nursery with Super Starfish Team B. Mrs Woodroffe will be based in the nursery with Super Starfish Team A. We will decide the teams based on which children come back to school when we reopen.
Proposed reopening for Terrific Tigers- Reception
The current plan is: Miss Westwood and Mrs Stone will each lead a reception team. Mrs Stone will be based in the Terrific Tigers class with Terrific Tigers Team A and Miss Westwood will be based in the hall with Terrific Tigers Team B. We will decide on the teams based upon who comes to school on the day of reopening.
Proposed reopening for Polite Polar Bear- Year one only
Current plan: Mrs Lyall (Deputy Head) and Miss Blake will be leading a Year One team each. Miss Blake will be based in the Polite Polar Bears class with PPB Team A and Mrs Lyall will be based in the Friendly Frogs class with PPB Team B. We will allocate teams once we know who is attending school.
