If your child is joining/moving to Reception (Bains class), the Government require your child to complete a baseline assessment. This happens nationally and was introduced so that children's progress could be measured from Reception to Year 6. 

There is absolutely nothing for you to be concerned about. The short activities are fun and are completed with their class teacher.
